Religion is creeping back into the country, despite all the efforts to get rid of it. That’s one reason it’s the perfect time for Appleseed. Johnathan Chapman’s life story is about his belief in God, and the way he came to be the selfless apple planter, always ready to share “The News From Heaven” with anyone who’d sit still long enough.
Belief in God by adults in the United States has slipped from 87% in 2017 to 81% today. Still more than enough believers to make this show a resounding success, and at the same time revitalize that belief.
Where will the money come from? Perhaps from a consortium of religions, banding together. Perhaps from a wealthy Christian who wants to spread the word. Perhaps from a group of evangelical pastors and ministers.
Wherever the money to produce this show comes from, I believe it will come. The show is right, the message is right, the time is right. Let’s do it.
